If I were to chose one word that would describe me, it would be blunt. Not a word you would expect to hear but it is a word I have never been able to escape. Although I have been able t state m words with more sensitivity, I am still going to tell anyone exactly what I believe. It is a quality people appreciate about me because they never have to wonder if I am not being sincere. It also helps o say, “I truly am not trying to hurt your feelings with anything I say. Please tell me if I do so that I can apologize.”

If I were to expand the description of myself, I would say I am a lover of people and learning. I love helping people go higher in their knowledge of the world and God. I also love helping to connect people with other people. It is this driving force that goes into my interaction with everyone including my students. I ask my students regularly if their brain hurts. It is an indication of learning taking place. I also want them to connect with people around the world.

I also love learning anything new. I may not remember a month from now but I love the process of discovering something new and applying it to my life. I believe if everyone was taught how to learn in a way that is natural to their mind, they would love learning as well. Learning is journey and it is no fun traveling it alone. I allow my students to work with each other to understand concepts.

The best part of myself is my other half. In October 2008, we will celebrate five years. You can see the picture of us above on the left. He is my greatest fan and best friend. I would move mountains for him. We do not have any children. I often say my classes of 60 plus students are my children. We spend as much time as we can together. We love going to the movies and out to eat.
